In the beauty industry, the design and innovation of product packaging has always been the key to brand competition. In recent years, the use of pulp molding technology has opened up entirely new possibilities for the beauty industry. This environmentally friendly, malleable material is gradually changing the way beauty brands are packaged, while also affecting consumer perceptions and expectations of products.
Beauty brands such as Chanel and Lancome have begun to experiment with pulp molding technology to design and produce their product packaging. Pulp molding provides a new thinking Angle and design space for the beauty industry, making product packaging no longer just a protective shell of the product, but a part of the brand image and product value.
French luxury brand Chanel has won an award at the Formesde Luxe Awards for its sustainable packaging. The winning product was created by Chanel in collaboration with American design house Knoll and wrapped in 100%Knoll Ecoform pulp clamshell to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Chanel's iconic perfume No. 5. The clamshell-like outer packaging is made from FSC-certified bamboo and bagasse (waste from sugar cane) and is biodegradable and recyclable.
Earlier, CHANEL also announced that its new LESEAUX DE CHANEL 125 ml perfume bottle will feature bio-based caps made from renewable plant resources and FSC-certified wood chips, made from 91% bio-based materials.
With the increase in consumer awareness of environmental protection and the increase in demand for personalized products, it is expected that the application of pulp molding in the beauty industry will be more extensive. At the same time, with the advancement of technology, we will also see more sophisticated and innovative pulp molding products appear on the market.
